![]() Around every three seconds the capture pauses for maybe a millisecond. It works pretty well except for the most annoying choppy av issue. Im currently using VLC to capture my VCR using a Dazzle DVC 100 to digitize some home videos. On the device I have the following info from terminal on the device (don't know if it's helpful or not. I'm at a loss, I have no idea what the problem may be, and so far I haven't found anything out there that sufficiently describes my problem. ![]() The only drivers I could find online for the DVC100 didn't seem to work so I had decided to rip the proper ones from the 'Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle' DVD that came with the device. I've also tried capturing from my webcam just to see if I can capture, but VLC hangs and I have to kill it. I believe video1 must be the DVC-100, but I can get no picture on screen from it, nor capture anything to file. Me being an avid gamer (mostly FPS games like Call of Duty), I found an. video0 is apparently my webcam, as my own pretty face shows up when I try to stream from that device. There I have two choices for video devices, /dev/video0 og /dev/video1. For most capture devices, the audio pin will have the same name as the video pin. However, I seem unable to get it working. Here the user can choose which audio device to capture from. My VCR is an old-ish Mitsubishi Black Diamond with the following connections - X2 SCART, L Audio, R Audio and antenna in/out. Some way down the road I've switched to Linux Mint 17, and according to different forums, it should be possible to capture video in Linux from the DVC-100, using VLC. 1 Hope this is in the right forum I recently (against my better judgment) bought a Dazzle DVC100 (the white one) in the hopes of transferring my old VHS tapes to DVD, and possibly recording some game footage. However, my hard drive broke down, and I lost some of the videos. Back in 2012, I bought Pinnacle studio and the Dazzle DVC-100 video capture unit to achieve this. I've been working to digitalize some old family vids on VHS.
